Lumière d'Encre is a place for sharing experience and meaning, a meeting place for creativity, a link between creators and the public.

Our activity is built around 4 axes:

- the conception and realization of residencies for photographic artists; résidences d’artistes photographes ;

- organizing and presenting exhibitions;expositions ;

- meetings, debates and conferences on contemporary photography; conférences autour de la photographie contemporaine ;

– - artistic education, with initiatives aimed at schoolchildren, adults and the underprivileged., avec des actions vers les scolaires, les adultes et les publics empêchés.

Lumière d'Encre has developed recognized areas of expertise, including :
- Photographic landscape observatories
- Architectural photography
- City photography
- Interventions and visual installations in urban environments.

The association has forged partnerships with the Pays Pyrénées Méditerranée, the Museum of Modern Art Moderne Céret, the Lycée Deodat de Sévérac (highschool) in Céret, the Recyclerie du Vallespir, the Médiathèque in Céret, the Lycée professionnel Alfred Sauvy (vocational highschool) in Villelongue dels Monts, etc.

Half of the Board's work is devoted to discussions on contemporary photography, including the examination of applications for residencies, exhibition proposals, photographers' presentations, etc.
The other half is devoted to the design and implementation of projects, as well as the day-to-day running of the association.

Members meet once a month to discuss photographic themes (art and photography issues, the work of photographers and/or members, etc.). The association also offers its members three in-house half-day training courses a year.
